Foals
One of the buzz bands of 2007 and indeed a headliner on the BBC Introducing... stage at last year's festival, Foals make a triumphant return to Bestival in 2008.
With a sound built less out of melody and more out of the shaping of monolithic grooves, their pumping rhythms are impossible to ignore as razor sharp guitars glide over offbeat drum patterns both driven on by surging funk soaked basslines.
Add to that frontman Yannis' vocals coming over like a Robert Smith for the 21st century and you begin to get a sense of what all the fuss is about.
2008 sees Foals release their debut album, Antidotes, with a step up to indie godfather status a certainty.
