The Knees Up
It was standing room only for three nights in the Time For Tease cabaret tent at Bestival 2007, when Underbling & Vow debuted their Cockney Knees Up with Mickey the Fingers on piano and Rosie & Rosie leading the audience in a two hour singalong party including their very own cockney Bestival song. Everyone was Up the Elephant, Down the Strand, Underneath the Arches and rolling out the barrel all the way. By the end, the audience were singing, on their feet, with their knees up doing The Lambeth Walk Oi!
Back by popular demand, they return to curate the Knees Up Tent at Camp Bestival with an Old Time Music Hall including the Cockney Knees Up with special guests the Bistroteque’s finest alternative drag stars The Lipsinkers and a variety of guest acts and party games to bring out the child in everyone.
