Skid Row
Skid Row is a new area / street for Bestival 2008. Running along one side of the 24 Hour Field, Skid Row takes in Club Dada, the Insect Circus / Alfresco Ballroom and the Polka Tent - all of which are listed separately in this Arenas section of our website.

The Dukes Box - Bestival aint Bestival without the biggest smallest stage in town the remarkably eccentric Dukes Boys play all the current chart hits on their wasted instruments in their even more wasted caravan.
Strangelings present Bramble FM – Put your ears in the safe hands of top community DJs Les, Terry and Maureen as they broadcast live from the Bramble Roadshow caravan. Cut the rug as they play all the hits and all the misses from their vast vinyl archive. Join in with your animal impersonations in the Johnny Morris memorial hour, listen and learn with Chas and Dave’s history of rap, plus phone-ins, dedications and live events on the roadshow podium. At last a community radio station so local you can smell it.
Victorian Disco – A tiny Victorian Disco with old favourites from “Only A Bird In The Cage”, “The Hokey Cokey “ and all the hits from the mighty Jazz Fools.
Prangsta Dress Up Tent – Get ready for all things weird from the 1890s to 1950s in the Prangsta dressarama. www.prangsta.co.uk
Insect Circus Museum – housed in a vintage, mahogany lined, Bedford TK beetlebox lorry, this displays a stunning array of costumes, props, puppets, toys and ephemera from the extraordinary collection of the Insect Circus Society. Spanning more than three centuries, and covering many continents, this is undeniably the finest museum of its kind in the world.
